Art helps teenagers develop their style, confidence and creative voice.

Teen Art Workshops at SoCro Art offer a creative space where young people can develop both artistic skills and personal expression.

Unlike traditional art classes that focus primarily on copying techniques or reproducing existing artwork, our workshops encourage teenagers to explore ideas, develop their own style and discover what they want to communicate through art.

Working in small groups, students experiment with drawing, painting, mixed media and creative projects inspired by themes, briefs and personal interests. They learn essential artistic techniques while also developing confidence, critical thinking and creative independence.

Competition Winning Student Artwork: The Ocean is the Planet's Lungs. Two lungs tell two stories. One is alive with colourful coral reefs and thriving marine life. The other is bleached and fragile, scarred by pollution and neglect. Through this contrast, the artwork reminds us that when the ocean suffers, the whole planet struggles to breathe.

Each session is designed to help young artists move beyond simply creating artwork and begin understanding themselves as artists. Through observation, experimentation and guided discussion, they will learn how to interpret ideas, make creative decisions and produce original work that reflects their own perspective.

Whether your teenager is passionate about art, looking to build a portfolio or simply seeking a creative outlet, these sessions provide a supportive and inspiring environment in which to grow.

☀️ Summer Holiday Media & Technique Studio ☀️

Dive into a brand-new artistic medium every session!Skip the rigid coursework and join our fluid, experimental afternoon studio blocks designed exclusively for teenagers. Mirroring the playful, hands-on style of our popular adult and children’s workshops, this summer intensive is all about trying new things, exploring new tools, and discovering new creative passions.

Each 3-hour session operates as a standalone masterclass focusing on a completely different specialised technique. Come to one session to try something new, or book a few to build a vibrant, multi-medium skill set.

📅 When: Wednesdays (22nd July – 26th August 2026)

🕘 Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM (3 Hours)

💷 Price: £35 per session (all materials included)

📍 Location: SoCro Art Studio, South Croydon

👥 Class size: Strictly limited to 10 artists for dedicated 121 coaching.

🎨 Mediums explored: Acrylic & Canvas, Sculpture & Ceramics, Illustration & Fine Print, and Experimental Mixed Media.

Our ongoing Saturday morning sessions are designed for teens looking for continuous, structured skill-building and a consistent, long-term creative routine. These sessions focus on deep technical progression, exploring complex creative briefs, and cultivating a highly personal artistic identity over time.
