Batik feels a little bit magical.
We use cold wax to “draw” onto beautiful Primissima cotton, then layer ink over the top and watch the colour settle, resist and reveal itself in the most unexpected ways.
The wax protects what you choose.
The ink does its thing. And somewhere in between, something beautiful begins to emerge.
It is hands on, textural and wonderfully imperfect. No two pieces ever look the same, which is exactly the point.
You do not need to know what you are doing.
You just need curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
The results can be bold, delicate, abstract or graphic.
But the process? That is the real joy.
